Microsoft dynamics Ax is an enterprise integrated application to support different type of business model. This this section we will discuss how we can configure Retail business component to use MS Ax in Retail Business

Retail Component

Below are basic component you required to use AX Retail

1.      Microsoft Dynamics AX AOS à Retail Head Quarter  (this is basic AX installation have AOS, Database)

2.      Microsoft Dynamics Real Time Service (this is also known as Transaction Service)

3.      Microsoft Dynamics Async Server

4.      Microsoft Dynamics Async Client

5.      Retail Modern POS

6.      Retail POS (Enterprise POS)

We will discuss some general point you need to take care and sequence of installation all above component.

Please follow below step to install

1.      Microsoft Dynamics AX à Retail Head Quarter  (this is basic AX installation have AOS, Database)

Use AX 2012 R3 Cu8 Setup and Install

Before you install Microsoft Real Time Service and Async Server you need IIS Server SSL Certificate you have to create. If you are installing in Local Premise then create personal signed certificate. follow below step to create 

1. Open IIS Manager

2. Go to Server Certificate

3. Click on "Create Self-signed Certificate"

4. It will open one Dialog give Certificate Name and Click on OK it will create certificate for you.

After Creating Certificate Install below component. 2.  Microsoft Dynamics AX Retail Time Service
Install from AX Setup.
Configure Real Time Service in AX using below Step.
Open AX client
